KUALA LUMPUR: Indonesian pop singer Cita Citata is furious with her former talent managers for making her perform while she was under quarantine for Covid-19.

The 27-year-old artiste said that her former management's request was "irrational" and "posed grave danger to the audience".

"On Feb 24, I was confirmed positive for Covid-19 but 2 days later I was asked to perform in a concert," said Cita in an Instagram post yesterday.

"I can't imagine how dangerous this is because the virus could spread, what more for those with chronic illnesses."

Cita added that the managers threatened to not pay her performance fees if she did not perform.

Shortly after the incident, Cita left her management company.

"To all artiste managers, you can be professional but please use your brains," said Cita, adding that she hoped her experience would be a lesson to all.

Cita's post received over 12,000 likes, and Netizens criticised her former management for being insensitive to the dangers of Covid-19.
