KUALA LUMPUR: Popular TV host Noor Neelofa Mohd Noor is keeping the public guessing on whether she is currently with child after pregnancy rumours began circulating in July.
The 32-year-old wife of celebrity preacher PU Riz has been seen to frequently touch and rub her tummy in live Instagram sessions, further fuelling the speculation.
Neelofa who attended the Bakul Kasih aid distribution event in partnership with Yayasan Prihatin Nasional (PRIHATIN), Majlis Agama Islam Wilayah Persekutuan (MAIWP) and Pertubuhan Kasih Neelofa (PKN) at Surau Al Mustaqim in Bukit Jalil yesterday, however did not confirm nor deny the hot topic.
"The question of me being pregnant or not is quite a sensitive matter to answer. I have my own reasons.
"To say if this rumour is true or not, I myself am waiting for the right time to share it.
"It would surely be good news based on people's prayers. It wouldn't be anything bad that has to remain hidden," she said in a news report yesterday.
Neelofa added that she understood her fans would be excited to receive good news on the matter and hoped that they would continue to pray for her.
"As a known personality, it's amazing to receive prayers from people you don't personally know.
"So pray for the best. I need all these prayers for protection," she said.
Talking about her collaboration with MAIWP and PRIHATIN, Neelofa explained that she intended to distribute 100,000 food baskets to the needy across the country.
"This is a kick-off event of sorts and we chose Projek Perumahan Rakyat (PPR) Pinggiran Bukit Jalil as the first location to begin channelling this aid.
"For a start, we distributed 2,000 food baskets. Those who qualified to receive this aid were in the asnaf category," she said.
