KUALA LUMPUR: Singer and actress Ayda Jebat has safely delivered a baby girl via C-section at a medical centre here at 7.07pm yesterday.
The good news was shared by the popular 29-year-old artiste's husband Nabil Mahir.
Nabil, who is also a TV host, said that he was grateful that the whole surgical procedure went well.
"Praise be to God, everything went smoothly. Ayda safely delivered our baby at 7.07pm. She weighs 2.77kg," he said in a Harian Metro news report yesterday.
Previously, Ayda had posted an entry on her Instagram account to reveal that the birth of her first child would be conducted via C-section and a week earlier than the initial date.
"God-willing, 'baby wuvv' (her nickname for it) will be out this afternoon. A week earlier than planned.
"Please forgive me for any wrongdoing or missteps. Pray for the health and safety of me and my baby," she wrote.
Ayda tied the knot with Nabil on Jan 1 after getting engaged virtually on April 28 last year during the MCO.
