KUALA LUMPUR: Actor and entrepreneur Fizo Omar, 36, has urged politicians from both sides of the divide to refrain from politicking and focus on the sufferings of ordinary Malaysians.
In his Instagram post today, he said that it was strange that Covid-19 cases were still on the rise, despite calls by the government to stay at home.
"It makes no sense that more people are getting Covid-19 despite the tightening of standard operating procedures (SOP) during the on-going Movement Control Order (MCO)," he said.
"A lockdown is in place, most of us are staying at home but depression and suicides have set in. Things seem to be getting worse. What else can we do?"
Fizo urged the government to take the rakyat's woes more seriously and listen to feedback from people who were badly hit by the lockdown.
"All politicians should put aside their differences, stop politicking and work together to alleviate our problems. If you don't, our lives will not improve. Help Malaysians make a difference," he added.
