KUALA LUMPUR: TV3 host Ahmad Fedtri Yahya does not agree with PAS politicians who are against the #benderaputih movement which suddenly emerged on social media earlier this week.

Taking to Instagram, the 39-year-old broadcasting personality shared a news report yesterday quoting Bachok MP Nik Mohamad Abduh Nik Abdul Aziz who said that people should instead raise their hands to pray rather than putting up a white flag in front of their houses when they come to a dead end during tough times like now.

In the caption, Fedtri wrote: "I'm sorry YB. Raising the white flag is also an effort as much as turning to divine intervention.

"Sometimes, charity organisation may not know or have all the details of those who are in need of assistance. When there's a 'signal' like this, it saves time and aid be extended faster by non-governmental organisations or even neighbours.

"Not everybody is able to tell others how troubled they are. This could also be their effort, besides turning to God."

Besides Nik Abduh, Pahang PAS commissioner Rosli Abdul Jabar was also reported to have aired his stand against the campaign which had since become viral on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.
