KUALA LUMPUR: Netizens are singing praise of celebrity couple Datin Lisa Surihani and Datuk Yusry Abdul Halim who organised a low-key aqiqah for their baby Yunos Laith in accordance with the standard operating procedures (SOP) under the Movement Control Order (MCO).
Lisa, 35, recently shared a couple of posts about the ceremony on her Instagram.
In the caption accompanying a video post showing the preparation of Nasi Arab with goat meat, she wrote: "Thank you @kedaikopikl for helping us to perform aqiqah for Yunos Laith and to help distribute the food to the less fortunate as well as to our extended family members."
In another entry, she shared a photo of her husband performing the "cukur jambul" on their little one.
While the video was viewed by close to 250,000 times, the photo received some 90,000 likes from Lisa's fans and followers.
Netizens even praised the couple for organising the "aqiqah" ceremony in a modest and simple manner, without breaching the SOP.
