THE gang, and when we say 'the gang', we mean the one and only group of Friends that kept us entertained from 1994 to 2004 and beyond, 'reunited' recently and fans are going cray-cray, much like how they did when Ross and Rachel finally decided they were no longer on a break.

So how are you doing, fans of the much-loved television sitcom Friends, after Jennifer Aniston, the actress who played Rachel Green posted a photo of the magnificent six on her Instagram account?

Not only was it a much-awaited reunion photo, the post also marked Aniston's Instagram debut.

The UK's Guardian said Aniston's Instagram page "crashed" as her followers grew in a matter of hours.

Not sure if it's a record but despite having only just joined the social media platform, Aniston now has 5.6 million followers as her page appears to be back online.

Her reunion post has garnered over 7 million Likes, and it was uploaded barely a day ago.

In the selfie photo, Aniston was seen in a huddle with Lisa Kudrow (Phoebe Buffay), Matthew Perry (Chandler Bing), Courteney Cox (Monica Geller-Bing), David Schwimmer (Ross Geller) and Matt Le Blanc (Joey Tribbiani).

Her caption read: "And now we're Instagram FRIENDS too. HI INSTAGRAM."

If you're a hardcore fan, you won't see that the Friends have aged since the show bid farewell in 2004. You would see them exactly like how we all remember them from back then, six friends trying to muddle through life in the Big Apple.

With this year being the show's 25th anniversary since it first aired on Sept 22, 1994, much has been done to mark the celebration.

The famous Central Perk couch made an appearance at the New York Empire State building for visitors to take photos with.

It has been a while since all six of them have been seen in a photo together and ardent fans can only hope that this could be a sign there's a reunion show in the works. Although many of the cast have come out to say there won't be a reunion, one can still hope, am I right, Frienatics?
