Shoe company Skechers has unveiled a line that some will see as dèjà vu. Called Foamies, they look very much like the Crocs clogs, which were very popular some 15 years ago.
The Foamies range, the brand says, builds on its popular series of sandals and slip-on styles to offer ultimate comfort in colourful flair.
Designed for anyone looking for a lightweight pair of casual yet stylish footwear to wear anywhere, especially to the pool, beach or cruise, the new range is available beginning this month.
But instead of just sandals, Skechers has included its podiatrist-certified Arch Fit insoles and its Comfort Pillar outsole technology.
"Our casual walking footwear is also constructed with dual-density foam to cater to consumers who prefer comfort as well as trendy and versatile casual footwear," Skechers Southeast Asia managing director Zann Lee says.
Made for laidback days, the new Arch Fit range for men and women and the women's Arch Fit Footsteps offer various styles, including sandals, clogs and thong sandals.
The slip-on clog-style Foamies have heel strap and a dual density traction outsole. The thong-styled Foamies sandal, the lightweight Arch Fit, Arch Fit Footsteps and Arch Fit Ascend casual sandals feature a flexible perforated foam upper.
SUMMER COLOURS
Meanwhile, the brand has adopted the same comfort philosophy in its shoes for its summer-centric apparel line called the Colour S Pack.
The line includes tees, pullovers and shorts for adults and kids, and pants for men and women. Versatile and comfortable to wear for any occasion, the tees are made from 100 per cent cotton and other styles come in a mix of cotton and polyester.
The Skechers Colour S Pack collection features a total of 15 apparel styles available in six colours, including Power Pink, Frosty Green and Blue Shadow.
