Tailored clothes are not usually associated with the young, because this group of consumers prefer ready-to-wear.

Local tailoring brand, Wardrobe, is bucking this trend by introducing a collection made for young men.

Its chief executive officer Lim Fang Heng says their energy, depth of mind and courage to face the fast-changing world inspire the collection.

"They are determined to face everyday challenges, to do better and have the grit to challenge conventional wisdom," he says.

With the same philosophy, the collection, called Sub-Surface, presents the brand's modish and youthful look, seen on day suits, lounge suits, waistcoats and sport coats with clashing separates.

Under the Prim and Pastel theme, the cut is relaxed for comfort.

Most of the garments are tailored with exclusive pure wool suiting fabrics and 100 per cent cotton shirting fabrics by world-renowned fabric mills. It places equal importance on sartorial flair with premium comfort and durability.

Experimenting with adventurous exploration of neo silhouettes as opposed to conventional suiting, the cut of the suits under the Prim and Pastel theme is draped with a relaxed fit, giving more room for figure framing and comfortable movement.

A 2-piece grey on grey Bengal striped suit is tailored with no lapel, providing an uninterrupted appearance of the modern gentleman. Another 2-piece suit is paired with a play on dark and lighter shades of blue and one set comes in a contrasting sky blue, giving the differences in personalities and preferences.

Other themes in the collection are Monochromatically Pastel and Dusky Revamp.
