KUALA LUMPUR: Vivo has launched its Y35 smartphone which comes with increased storage (256GB) and 8GB+8GB Extended RAM.
It's also packed with a 5,000 mAh battery and 44W Flash charge.
Besides that, the Y35 is IPX4 water-resistant, and IP5X dust-resistant too.
Vivo's chief executive officer, Mike Xu said the Y35 is powered by multiple top-level configurations at an affordable price.
"With this latest device in the vivo Y series, we're redefining the status quo by incorporating elements of a fun-loving lifestyle and best-in-class features. Prioritising a fun and intuitive user experience just as much as the impressive specs in this price range, you could say 'That's Y, Unleash the Double Fun," he said.
DESIGN
The Y35 has a 6.58-inch FHD display with 2408x1080 resolution and a P2 colour gamut.
It has up to 90Hz touch sampling rate and refreshes rate, the display has a maximum brightness of 550 nits.
Moreover, the smartphone has contoured edges with 2.5D curvature as symmetrically rounded corners.
Its anti-glare (AG) surface is scratch and fingerprint resistant as well as has a fingerprint scanner with a power button on the side.
There's also a Face Wake feature to unlock.
The vivo Y35 is available in Agate Black and Dawn Gold
PERFORMANCE
The Y35 is powered by the snapdragon 680 processor, has an extended 8GB RAM with an additional 8GB virtual memory, and has a Multi-Turbo 5.5 algorithm for multitasking and less power consumption.
The phone's 256GB storage capacity can be increased to up to 1TB through a triple card slot design.
The battery is said to last for 14.3 hours of online HD movie streaming, or 7.05 hours of graphic-intensive games.
Its 44W FlashCharge gives 70 per cent power in 34 minutes and it also has Hi-Res Audio up to 7dB while being adjustable across 17 levels
CAMERA
The Y35 has a 50MP main camera, 2MP bokeh camera, 2MP macro camera, and 16MP HD front camera.
The 2MP bokeh camera gives great depth and accuracy while the 2MO macro camera draws as close as 4cm.
With the 16MP HD front camera, it takes great pictures in various lighting conditions and the Super Night Mode employs a multi-frame for capturing details in poor lighting conditions.
The AI brightening technology takes balanced pictures and users can take selfies in the dark thanks to the Super Night Mode's smart noise reduction algorithm with Aura Screen Light.
Portrait shots are great even in different settings and it has a smart Face Beauty algorithm too.
