Here are five third-party camera apps that are pretty cool

THOUGH smartphone cameras have become more and more incredible, sometimes you can't help but want to spice things up a bit according to your aesthetic sense. Of course, the camera works just fine, but a little tweaking can make the pictures turn out even better, and now you can do that with third-party camera apps for all your beautifully taken pictures. Check them out here!

GOOGLE CAMERA

You can now take astounding pictures and videos with the incredible features and tools provided by your trusty old Google Cam. They include features such as HDR+ with dual exposure modes that will allow you to take pictures even in low-light or backlit scenes and Night Sight, where it'll amp out all the details and colours even in the dark.

Now you can finally take that meteor shower or Milky Way shot all you want during one of your camping trips. If you don't have a bokeh mode on your phone, the Portrait picture will take one for you, making your subject pop by turning the background black and white.

Finally, the Top Shot feature will automatically recommend the ideal pictures for your Instagram feed.

VSCO

Remember the trendy VSCO era? There's a reason why it was renowned in the past and is still relatable up to today. With the latest editing tools, effects and filters, you can uncover your taste in your aesthetic shots. From warm-toned presets such as A6 or as cold as HB1, take your photography skills up a notch by toggling with its contrast, saturation, fade or even gain effect for that famous vintage vibe. And if you take up VSCO membership, you get access to over 200-plus presets and get more vintage looks with Kodak, Fuji, Agfa, etc with Film X. VINTAGE CAMERA: 1998 CAM

For those who miss the old times like I do, you can get the rustic and retro feel of the 1990s by using the Vintage 1998 camera. The camera has film filters, as well as a Polaroid camera, Light Leak, All Dust, and grainy filter effects for those perfectly imperfect scratchy and dusty shots for your social media accounts. You can also change the picture date just like how your dad's bulky old camera did and change the picture's properties like its brightness, contrast and tone.

PROCAM MANUAL CONTROL CAMERA

You now have all the power to manually adjust every setting of your photos by playing around with the Shutter, choosing between ISOs, white balance, exposure settings and exposure compensation.

It also offers other features and tools such as the Square Photo Capture 1:1, Built-in Photo Browser, Live Monitor automatic exposure values, focus zoom, optional delay shutter for long exposures, fill flash mode, grid overlays, and Exif viewer.

FOCOS

An essential tool for all photophiles out there. Focos brings in the DSLR in photography even with just your smartphone. Its features include a bokeh effect that can only be achieved on certain smartphones or DSLRs and taking photos with a shallow depth of field. You can also re-focus portrait photos, select professional options for lens characteristics such as creamy, bilinear, swirly, reflex effects. And if you're out of ideas on how to use the app, it has built-in video tutorials to guide you.
