KUALA LUMPUR: Porsche's first fully-electric Cross Utility Vehicle (CUV) makes an electrifying local debut as it takes on all forms of road conditions at recorded zero CO2 emissions.

Featuring off road design elements include wheel arch trims, unique front and rear lower aprons and side sills the CUV features a new high-tech chassis with all-wheel drive and adaptive air suspension to suit on and off-road conditions with 20 mm higher ground clearance as compared to its Taycan saloon counterpart.

Ground clearance is further increased by up to 30 mm with the optional Offroad Design package, allowing for more challenging off-road conditions especially with the new "Gravel" mode exclusive to the Cross Turismo.

This new feature manages torque distribution through traction-optimised shifting and other chassis settings, increasing the suitability of the Cross Turismo for poor-quality roads.

Additionally the Cross Turismo has special flaps at the corners of the front and rear bumpers and at the ends of the sills as part of the optional Offroad Design package for a more striking exterior as well as stone impact protection.

It is also slightly more roomy, boasting forty-seven millimetres more headroom for rear-seat passengers and more than 1,200 litres of load capacity (with rear seatbacks folded down), loaded through the large tailgate at the rear.

Not forgetting it is first and foremost an electric vehicle at heart the silent cruising CUV features an 800-volt technology for fast charging with Performance Battery Plus, which has a total capacity of 93.4 kWh, is fitted as standard across the model range.

Available in three variants locally Taycan 4 Cross Turismo and 4S Cross Turismo's electric energy consumption is at 28.1 kWh/100 km while the Turbo Cross Turismo is at 28.7 kWh/100 km.

The base model delivers 280 kW (380 PS), with overboost power for Launch Control at 350 kW (476 PS). Acceleration goes from 0-100 km/h in 5.1 seconds with a top speed of 220 km/h. It has a range of 437 km according to the New European Driving Cycle (NEDC).

4S Cross Turismo has a range of 436 km and accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 4.1 seconds with a top speed of 240 km/h with 360 kW (490 PS). Overboost power with Launch Control is at 420 kW (571 PS).

The top range Turbo Cross Turismo with 460 kW (625 PS) accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 3.3 seconds with a top speed of 250 km/h and has a range of 425 km. Overboost power with Launch Control is at 500 kW (680 PS).

Taycan 4 Cross Turismo starts from RM 645,209, 4S Cross Turismo from RM 728,727, and the Turbo Cross Turismo starts from RM 968,928.

Consumption and CO2 emission values were determined in accordance with the NEDC.
