KUALA LUMPUR: Bursa Malaysia continued its downtrend to close in negative territory at midday break.

At 12.30pm, FTSE Bursa Malaysia (FBM) KLCI closed 0.67 per cent or 10.08 points lower at 1,488.75 versus yesterday's closing of 1,498.83.

The key index which opened at 1,497.80 hit a low of 1,487.90 during the morning trading session.

The index board was also a sea of red with FBM100 losing 0.56 per cent to 10,753.69, FBM Emas lost 0.53 per cent to 11,107.45 and FBM Ace dropped 1.02 per cent to 5,387.16.

Of the actives, TWL Holdings Bhd added 11.11 per cent or half a sen to five sen and Minetech Resources Bhd rose 4.26 per cent or one sen to 24.5 sen.

On the losing end, Fintec Global Bhd dropped 33.33 per cent or half a sen to one sen and Pan Malaysia Holdings Bhd lost 6.67 per cent or one sen to 14 sen.
