KUALA LUMPUR: Tune Protect Group Bhd has expanded its product offering into the African market through a partnership with Nigeria's Leadway Assurance Company Ltd and Tune Protect Re.

The collaboration is intended to cater to various travel and lifestyle assurance products via the digital business-to-business (B2B) channel in Nigeria through Tune Protect's joint venture company, Tune Protect EMEIA.

Tune Protect EMEIA is a digital travel technology facilitator in Europe, Middle East, India and Africa.

Leadway Assurance is the first B2B partner for Tune Protect Re and Tune Protect EMEIA within the African continent, with a dedicated focus on B2B Travel, offering a portfolio of more than 10 travel and lifestyle assurance propositions.

In a statement, Tune Protect said the partnership allows Tune Protect EMEIA to render technology solutions of Tune Protect insurtech arm White Label Ltd to Leadway Assurance.

The partnership was formally kicked off last month, which commemorated the distribution of travel and lifestyle products in Nigeria.

The propositions consisted of 12 insurance solutions.

"The team is continuously exploring opportunities for collaborations that provide synergistic advantages and demonstrate economic viability," Tune Protect group chief executive officer Rohit Nambiar said.

"In the pipeline, we are planning to expand into nine more countries in Asia and Africa, delivering valuable insurance products to meet the diverse needs of the global market," he added.
