Executive director Thien Chiet Chai said the country's solar industry has witnessed tremendous growth in the last few decades, specifically in deployment, investments and interests from various parties.

"This is no surprise as solar energy is one of the most abundant and promising sources of renewable energy in Malaysia.

"As the nation is in transition into renewable energy, we do not foresee the demand to taper off anytime soon.

"We believe we have to double up our deployment activities in order to keep up with such overwhelming demand as evident from the continuous new orders and enquiries we have been receiving," he said.
