KUALA LUMPUR: QAT Group plans to expand its businesses across Peninsular Malaysia as it scales up operations to serve more customers.
Group managing director May Lau Soo Ling said the company aims to have at least one branch in each state to efficiently cater to the growing needs of the company's services.
"Next Tuesday, we are setting up our third branch in Penang. We already have branches in Pahang and Johor.
"When it comes to our company secretary services and outsourcing of accounting services, we can personalise them according to our clients.
"This way, we provide convenience to our clients by making our services more accessible for them," she told the New Straits Times after the opening ceremony of QAT Group's headquarters here on Sunday.
She added that the company's outsourced accounting services, tax compliance and tax planning services are highly sought after among its small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) clients.
Over the long term, she said the company is also looking at expanding into Sabah and Sarawak.
"If the opportunity arises and we can find suitable partners to work with in Sabah and Sarawak, we are planning to set up our branches there as well," she added.
QAT Group of Companies is a Malaysia-based firm that provides professional services such as taxation, accounting, auditing, company secretarial and corporate consulting, and other related services related to company management.
Meanwhile, Lau said the company is looking forward to serving more multinational corporations (MNCs) and public-listed companies in the future.
"Most of our clients now are SMEs, and we have another two MNC clients we are working with currently. For our MNC clients, we now provide them with advisory services.
"We have the background of working with many public-listed companies when working with other accounting firms.
"So we are looking forward to engaging with more clients from MNCs and public-listed companies," she said.
