KUALA LUMPUR: Halim Mazmin Group-owned Meritus University is offering scholarship for a foundation programme in business management at the university.
The Halim Mazmin Group Scholarship offers up to RM16,000 for those who qualify for the programme.
Meritus University chairman Tan Sri Dr. Halim Mohamad said the scholarship was still open for the intake of November/December this year.
Terms and conditions for the scholarship include a minimum of five credits in Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia or a minimum of Grade B in three subjects in Unified Examination Certificate or a minimum of Grade C in five subjects in Ordinary Level (O-Level).
Successful applicants will be required to continue their undergraduate studies with Meritus University's programmes namely Bachelor of Science (Hons) Maritime Business, Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Finance (Investment Strategy), and Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Business Management.
"PTPTN will also be available and assisted by the university for the successful applicants for the scholarship. The scholarship will help students who need it to pursue their education especially those from the B40 group," said Tan Sri Dr. Halim.
Halim said Meritus University, established in February 2016, was committed to producing graduates who are well balanced intellectually, spiritually, physically and emotionally, and more importantly graduates who are capable of meeting the demands of today's employers.

The university currently offers programmes namely Foundation in Business Management, Diploma in Business Management, Bachelor of Science (Hons) Maritime Business, Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Finance (Investment Strategy), and Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Business Management.
The university also offers master programme namely Master of Science in Shipping, Trade, and Finance, Master of Science in Wealth Management, Master of Business Administration and Doctor of Philosophy in Maritime Business.
